When Old Friends Speak, New Things Happen

Updated: Oct 5, 2018

I got a call from an old friend, Rome, the coordinator at Moving Help Center. We got our start together in the moving business as rental truck moving helpers for a big truck rental company. Whenever he calls, things get moving.

The Master Mover & Builder

”What’s the word, Armando“ he boomed into the telephone. He is always excited when he speaks. As a known traveler, he is always on the move and up to new things. “Hard work as always” I responded. Then I tell him of how my company is going and the new additions I added etc. Then I asked him to look at my website.

Knowing that Rome is a secret geek that has a thing for helping people, I had him by the ear. I told him I had to go because I was on a job.

The next morning I get a call from a coffee-powered Rome. “Dude, your site gave me a headache. It was an awkward thing to look at. I feel ashamed for knowing you.“

The Builder Works His Magic

I had him right where I wanted him. When Rome hurls insults like Zeus throws lightening bolts, it just means he is brainstorming and mentally preparing himself for whatever is on the horizon. Nothing but brotherly love.

Long story short, I now have a functioning website that customers are booking my services on, most of which, without even needing to call me.

Quick List of Goodies

  • Booking system with calendar

  • Auto email reminder

  • Blogroll that emails subscribers

  • SEO from a professional

  • Support from a good friend

No telling what’s next. Rome is full of surprises. “I don’t compete with companies in the moving industry no more than I compete with humans in the game of life” said Rome. “Cooperation is the key to a rock solid corporation & network” said the man with more connections than LAX Airport.
